Possible in individual cases as a promotion by Job Join

Job Join is an innovative start-up from Germany offering a new method of job placement for professionals in Europe. We combine the services of a job recruiting agency with the power of a large network of employers and European and local employment and visa agencies. We want to offer a large number of job seekers the chance of a fair job in Europe - in some cases without any upfront costs (visas, residence and work permits) apart from our low and affordable registration fee.

Job placement including visa, work and residence permit without upfront costs? Placement without upfront costs always sounds dubious. Unfortunately, in most cases it is.

What do we do differently?

Job Join forms a joint pool of job seekers and employers:

If you receive a job offer from an employer with a valid Premium membership, Job Join will handle the entire process and cover all costs for obtaining your work and residence permits and, if necessary, the recognition of your professional qualification. And we also take over the complete financial settlement with the visa agents in your home country - because we also know that unfortunately in some cases the dubiousness already begins there and with the complexity of applications, attempts are made to charge excessive fees at your expense. We want to prevent this from happening. An employer with a Premium membership will usually inform you immediately upon submitting the job offer that the costs will be covered by Job Join. Bonus: In some cases we also cover your travel expenses (flight ticket and travel insurance) as a so-called promotion.

Did you receive a job offer from an employer with a Basic membership?

By default, Job Join does not cover costs in this case — however, as a so-called promotion, we may handle the process and cover the costs in individual cases too. If you have received a job offer and/or a draft employment contract from an employer within the Job Join network, please email it to: check.coverage@job-join.de

Important: In the email subject line, state which type of offer it is.

Subject: Premium (the employer has informed you that they have a Premium membership)

Subject: Basic (the employer has informed you that they have a Basic membership)

So it goes directly to the responsible Job Join department.

Please also attach your Workforce Pool participation confirmation/invoice. Cost coverage is only possible with an active, paid membership or this membership had expired not longer than three months after the time of first contact by the employer.

In addition to direct placement via Job Join, we offer another feature to increase your chances. We are not only recruiters ourselves but also the interface between other recruitment agencies. Other employment agencies work against each other - we don't, because together we are stronger. We only have one goal: to offer you a new future by finding you a fair job in Europe and at the same time counteract the shortage of skilled labour in Europe. Every applicant profile listed with us can be accessed by all our verified co-operating employment agencies. This significantly increases your chances of being placed.

But quantity without quality is worthless. That's why Job Join checks every specific job offer that our members receive for fairness and scamming free of charge.

People from third countries are often offered dubious or underpaid jobs and their desire to work in Europe is exploited. We therefore offer the additional service of checking every specific job offer or draft employment contract (written in English or German) that our members receive free of charge. This also applies if you have received the offer outside the Job Join network. After all, we want to prevent dubious employers or job brokers from taking advantage of you. With dubious and often legally unauthorised employment contracts, they make your start in Europe much more difficult and also give themselves a competitive advantage over our fair cooperation partners.

You can find some points on the subject of dubious job offers from real life in the FAQ section.

1. Take the free test - receive the result immediately.
2. Sign up for free and book your participation for €59 to join the workforce pool.
3. Done - sit back and wait for fair employers to contact you.

Job offers that you would like us to check free of any extra charge can be uploaded directly after we have received your participation fee.

For applicants, inclusion in our workforce pool costs €59 for one year. Employers and co-operating recruitment agencies will then have access to your profile and your direct contact details for one year. You will receive an official invoice/registration confirmation from Germany. For employers, the fee depends on the number of employees and the industry.

We offer different payment methods. Please click here to learn more.

Dubious employers not only harm you, but also the fair employers who want to keep you in the long term through good working conditions and salaries. You and the good employers are in the ‘same boat.’ Job Join forms the necessary, direct interface between applicants and fair employers in Europe. Our principle enables us to build our Europe-wide network exclusively with top companies who want to keep you in the long term by offering good working conditions and salaries. Because we and our employers know that a good employee wants to work for them - and does not have to work for them because of contracts with poor conditions.

For absolute top employers, Job Join also offers the opportunity to sponsor the biggest hurdle - the high familiarisation costs of some professions. This cost saving for employers should of course benefit you as an applicant.

Fair? Yes, only fair.

Unfortunately, employers are often flooded with unsuitable applicants / applications. Filtering these applications takes up a lot of resources.
That's why Job Join's algorithm matches suitable applicants with companies instead of posting job listings openly. Instead, employers can filter directly for candidates with the right qualifications.

However, we are working on a feature that will allow you, as a member of the workforce pool, to apply directly for job advertisements that match your qualifications. We hope to be able to present this update soon.

Yes, you can, and it makes perfect sense to do so to increase your chances. The more information you can offer interested companies, the better your chances of being hired. You can upload, delete and update the documents in your personal account after payment.

"Predatory contracts"? Yes, unfortunately this does happen and is the rule in many industries. In many cases, your residence permit is tied to your employer. If you cancel because of poor conditions, this can mean that you have to leave Europe again. Unfortunately, some companies exploit this shamelessly.

A quick example from the healthcare sector:

Did the job offer or employment contract include the payment of night work bonuses? These are a legal requirement in many European countries.

A more extensive example from the transport sector:

Transport companies in Eastern Europe often recruit truck drivers from third countries for international EU transport for a net wage of just €1,300 - 1,500 and claim that this is an average salary. This is not true!

A local truck driver gets € 2,700 - 2,900 net for the same job at another company.

This difference is indecent and you are being used to offer dumping prices in the transport sector. Through tricks and few controls, you work far below the legal minimum wage and at or below the subsistence level. This is rarely enough to cater for you on tour in Europe and to support family members back home.

Yes, it is understandable that your new employer may want to ‘refinance’ any upfront costs for the necessary documents and an induction period. But in any case, this should be regulated fairly for both sides. In our example, a job offer of €2,300 - €2,600 net would be fair for a maximum of 12 months. After that, every worker with equivalent qualifications must be worth the same - regardless of nationality - and the salary must be €2,700 - €2,900.

It often gets worse. In addition to the unfair salaries, in the transport industry, for example, damage to the vehicle is also deducted from your wages. Such clauses are often deliberately worded so that nobody understands them, because they are illegal. In reality, for example, a damaged bumper is simply deducted from your salary and you have to accept it. This is prohibited by law but is practised anyway.

Regional differences in the purchasing power of salaries:

Everyone is aware of the differences in the cost of living between European countries. In addition, there are also major regional differences. A job as a care assistant in Munich or Hamburg with a net salary of €2,800 - €3,000 including bonuses sounds interesting at first glance, but living in Hamburg or Munich, for example, is very expensive. Rents for one-bedroom flats can quickly reach €1,400 - €1,500 or more per month and are hard to come by, as living space is scarce. So the offer in another city with a slightly lower net salary of €2,400 - €2,600 may be the better deal if the rental costs there are only €700 per month. If the job offer in Hamburg or Munich provides you with an employee flat at a reasonable price, the situation is different again. Of course, we can't know everything, but we can point out individual points.

Job Join will inform you of such irregularities. However, we cannot offer legal advice.

Please note: There is no limit to the number of job offers that you can submit for review, but the job offer or draft employment contract must be addressed personally to the job seeker and must be written in English or German.

Visa requirements are implemented differently in Europe from country to country and depending on the applicant's qualifications. You can test how good your chances are directly, in advance and completely free of charge. The free survey only takes 2 minutes and you will receive your result immediately afterwards. If the result is below 50%, we expressly point out that we do not recommend that you take part in the Job Join  programme. In such a case, your chances are slim and you should leave the place in our workforce pool to a better qualified candidate.

Our capacities are not unlimited. That's why we only allocate a certain number of places in our workforce pool and sporadically close admission to the pool every couple of weeks. This quota is based on the needs of the companies, our capacities and those of our cooperation partners. In this way, we ensure that not too many applicants are listed and that employers do not lose track. In Germany, we say ‘You can't see the wood for the trees.’ Immediately after your free test, you can see whether the applicant pool is currently open for new admissions.

For registered employers and employment agencies, nothing will change during the workforce pool's closure. They will have the usual access to all listed applicant profiles without any restrictions.

Yes, because we cannot place every applicant. That's why we are honest: there is a risk that no placement will take place within the year. In this case, however, we will extend your listing free of charge for a further 6 months to a total of 18 months.

Job Join is divided into several main job categories: Academics, (truck) drivers, care assistants, and skilled workers. You can only register for one of these categories per user account.

But what if you could imagine doing different jobs? An example: You are an academic, but you also have a truck driver's licence and your dream has always been to become a truck driver in Europe. But you could also imagine working as an academic in Europe. Unfortunately, the option to register for several job categories within one user account is currently not possible. When registering, you must decide in which main category you are looking for a job. It is therefore not possible to register, for example, as an academic and a lorry driver or as a doctor and a nursing assistant.

This is only possible if you register again with a different email address, and carry out the test and process again with the additional desired category.

If you paid directly online, e.g. with PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or credit card, you should have received the confirmation of participation automatically on the same day. If you paid via Wise or a money transfer service to our bank account like Western Union, MoneyGram, Ria etc., you should receive the confirmation by email within a maximum of 5-6 days, in exceptional cases within 7 days.

If you have made a (Swift) transfer to our bank yourself, the receipt of payment may take more than 10 days, depending on your country of origin.

If these times are exceeded, please send us an enquiry to service@job-join.de. Be sure to include the order number from your confirmation email and, if available, a screenshot / copy of your payment.

Attention!

Scammers are on the move and send false invoices and payment requests by email.

Due to the current situation, we would like to point out what you should pay attention to:

1. You have booked a spot in our Workforce Pool

Regardless of the payment method, you will receive an order confirmation from us by e-mail immediately after completing your order.
Important: In any case you will always receive only one order confirmation and one invoice from us from a Workforce Pool membership.

A: You paid online during the order with credit card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, or PayPal?

Then you will automatically receive your invoice from our system (usually within a few minutes) as proof of payment and confirmation of membership. The membership is active and you do not need to do anything else. We will never ask you for any additional payment.

B: You completed the order in the shop but did not pay online right away? (e.g., you choose Wise, Western Union, MoneyGram, Ria, bank transfer)

You still need to make the payment yourself. You will find the account details on your order confirmation and check also our FAQ. Depending on the payment method selected, the payment may take several days (see also FAQ). As soon as we receive the payment, you will receive your invoice from us as proof of payment and confirmation of membership. The membership is active and you do not need to do anything else. We will never ask you for any additional payment of the membership fee.

2. You ONLY took the Job Join Europe assessment TEST and/or created an account WITHOUT ordering participation in the Workforce Pool in our shop?

The test, as well as registration solely to save the test, is 100% free! You will not receive any payment request or invoice from us.

If you have received a dubious payment request, please forward it to us immediately at service@job-join.de so that we can review it and, if necessary, take legal action.
